3 Powerful Tools to Help You Make more Money with Information Products

Listen, you have the control to be financially set if you put your mind to it. Informational products have been around for years and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Obviously if you're reading this you've seen a nice profit at least once revolving one of your informational products. However, wouldn't you like to make more? Of course! All it takes is a little effort on your part and more profits will start to show.

I've spent months going back and forth finding different ways to make more money with informational products. After all that time I only came up with two options. You can sell more and refund less. Yes, it's that simple. While it's beneficial on either side, I'd recommend doing both to get you the maximum profits out there.

While this is all well and good, I've spent years selling information products on the Internet. What it comes down to is taking advantage of three powerful tools to change your overall results. In order to do this you have to use them on your ads, mailings, sales letters, autoresponder messages, and any other type of sales tool you utilize.

Even though it will help you sell more, taking advantage of these tools will also allow you to keep from refunding your products. Well, not completely but the majority of the time. Then again, it's up to you to put this course of action to the test and make all three of them work for you.

The 3 Powerful Tools

Before I go into the advantages of using all three of these, it's important to understand the benefits. When it's time to use them, they won't cost you a dime, they continue to work over and over again, and no one else is in control but you. Oddly enough you already have them. All you have to do is know how to use the words to your advantage.

1. Educate Them- Once you stop trying to sell them, you'll make more sales. See, you aren't trying to sell your potential prospect anything. What you're actually doing is educating them (hint hint) on the topic so they can use all the information to their advantage. If they don't feel as though they are learning anything, you're just going to be looking at a refund smack in the face!

Keep in mind this is something that needs to be done in every newsletter, autoresponder mailing, email, phone call, or anything else that comes to mind. Once they realize you know what you're talking about, they stay tuned for the next installment. Plus, once they see results themselves, you won't have to worry about refunding anything.

2. Entertain Them- You don't have to be Rodney Dangerfield or Bernie Mac, but keeping them entertained will go a long way. Don't you remember your favorite teacher in high school? This person probably didn't have long drawn out classes that would put you to sleep in the blink of an eye.

In the fast paced world we live in today, our attention spans suffer. If there is a commercial we don't like, we change the channel. Maybe it's a bad storyline in a movie, or a song that just doesn't make sense. Whatever the case may be you can't put these people to sleep or you're going to find yourself back at that 9 to 5 next week. How do you do it?

* Illustrations
* Funny stories
* Analogies
* Outrageous statements

In my own experiences, there was one time I wrote, "I Will Swallow A Live Grasshopper If This Doesn't Boost Your Website Traffic." So how many people do you think bothered to read that one? Would you have read it? Tons of people viewed this article and at one point was a mainstay in the content world. The point is, if your consumers are having fun, they buy more, and refund less.

3. Add a Little Emotion- Now, you don't have to bring out some sappy country song to get into the minds of your visitors. Instead, put a little pizzazz behind your stories. You've got to get their blood pumping like they're competing in a 100 yard dash! Seriously, fill them with hope, triumph, and the future ahead of them. A little motivational tactic can go a long way.

What it comes down to is no one wants to just sit there. Think about all the people that are online at 3 o'clock in the morning. You think a boring story is going to keep them up like a double shot of espresso? You'd be surprised at how many people purchase things while everyone else is sleeping. In the end you want to make your life better and so do they. So make them believe it's going to happen without looking like a hyped up sales tactic.

Making a Choice

Remember how we told you that you already had these attributes in your repertoire? Well, now it's time to put them into action. If you truly want to make more money with information products, then you're going to have to make it happen. Just remember;

Educate Them
Entertain Them
Add a Little Emotion

If you can open up all three of these powerful tools you'll find yourself with an inflated bank account, and more time to write about other products. If you don't, you'll find that returning people's money after you thought it was yours is a complete drag!
